At Garleton Lodge we offer our guests an excellent choice of delicious food showcasing mainly locally sourced ingredients and our bar also stocks Scottish gins, whiskies, beers and other locally made drinks so that you can enjoy the best that Scotland and East Lothian has to offer during your stay.
Our restaurant has been given Visit Scotland Taste Our Best Awards in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and offers spectacular views across the Firth of Forth, Edinburgh and East Lothian countryside.
Garleton Lodge is also the home of The Chocolate Stag – handmade chocolates from East Lothian – please check out our website!
Restaurant Opening Times
Current Government restrictions (in place until 26 October 2020) mean that our restaurant is open to hotel residents only for the service of food and non-alcoholic drinks only and must also close at 10pm.
Normally, on Saturday nights, our restaurant is open to both residents and non-residents between 7pm and 9pm offering a full three course a la carte menu – prior booking is essential.
On other nights, our restaurant is open to residents only between 7pm and 9pm offering a simple Scottish menu – by prior arrangement only. Our restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.
Normally, we also offer afternoon teas on the last Sunday each month (excluding Summer months) – see Events – advance booking is essential. Unfortunately, our afternoon tea events are currently suspended in line with Government restrictions.
Currently, Government restrictions (in place until 26 October 2020) mean that we can only serve alcoholic drinks in your room as part of room service or using our in-room mini-bars. Our bar is closed and we cannot serve alcoholic drinks in our restaurant or in the hot tub. Alcohol brought in by guests is also not permitted.
