Food & Drink
At Garleton Lodge we offer our guests an excellent choice of delicious food showcasing mainly locally sourced ingredients and our bar also stocks Scottish gins, whiskies, beers and other locally made drinks so that you can enjoy the best that Scotland and East Lothian has to offer during your stay.
Our restaurant has been given Visit Scotland Taste Our Best Awards in 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020 and offers spectacular views across the Firth of Forth, Edinburgh and East Lothian countryside.
Garleton Lodge is also the home of The Chocolate Stag – handmade chocolates from East Lothian – please check out our website!
Restaurant Opening Times
Normally, in the absence of Government restrictions, our restaurant is open to both residents and non-residents on Saturday nights between 7pm and 9pm offering a full three course a la carte menu – prior booking is essential.
On other nights, our restaurant is open to residents only between 7pm and 9pm offering a simple Scottish menu – by prior arrangement only.
Our restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.
Normally, in the absence of Government restrictions, we also offer afternoon teas on the last Sunday each month (excluding Summer months) – see Events – advance booking is essential. Unfortunately, our afternoon tea events are currently suspended in line with Government restrictions.
Currently, Government restrictions mean that our bar is closed but when open we can serve alcoholic drinks in our restaurant with a main meal and in outside areas including the hot tub as well as part of room service. Each of our rooms also has a fully stocked in-room mini-bar. Under the terms of our licence, alcohol brought in by guests is not permitted.
